Vegetation breathes. Satellites measure it.
NDVI measures vegetation activity from space. This map shows 8-day composites from the MODIS Terra sensor (250 m) over the last 12 months: drag the slider or play the animation, and watch the rainy season green the country from south to north.

From index to yield
Measurement
NDVI compares red and near-infrared reflectance: the more active the photosynthesis, the higher the index. MODIS computes it over 8 days to remove clouds.
Analysis
The time series reveals season onset, growth anomalies and water stress — at the scale of a region or a production basin.
Action
At field scale, OHM WORKS' multispectral drone produces the same index at 5 cm/pixel: vigour maps, input modulation (up to −30%), plant counting.
A vigour map for your fields?
Palm groves, cotton, market gardening, irrigated schemes: we produce drone NDVI maps at plant scale, directly usable by your agronomy teams. Let's talk.
